Wow what a whirlwind! Literally! Haha
My mother and I left Boise Monday the 4th and arrived to Gainesville Friday the 8th. I had just enough time to get settled, get my mom to her flight before Irma arrived. We had some rain and wind but nothing too crazy. Thank God! Our power and water was down for maybe about 24 hours before it was up and running again.
My first day in the office (Monday the 11th) turned into two days of working from home and my first real day in the office was Wednesday. So far my first week has been great! There has already been lots of movement and things coming up to prepare for next year and connect with the participants now to get them ready.
Wednesday night I was praying for the Expedition squad when the idea to go out to the current Expedition squads on the field came to me. For next year my job is to take the current vision and function of our Expedition (the 10/40 or hardest countries to reach) squads and continue to mold and change it where God leads. In order to carry on this vision it would help for me to go out on the field with the current squads and understand how they already function on a daily basis. It was decided yesterday that I will fly out to one of the squad’s debrief on September 25th and then stay for an additional week to do life with the squad.
Since this trip is not a normal trip my position takes at this time it is not included in my fundraising salary. Taking a leap of faith that this is what God has asked me to do, I have committed to raise an additional $1,500 for this trip (air fare, meals, lodging etc..).
I am asking for a one time donation for this trip above my monthly support needs.
Whether you are already a monthly donor or not (my monthly cannot apply to this need) I am asking for a one time donation of any amount to go toward my trip I will take next week!! Ekk!
Lots of fast and crazy change in my life haha!
Since this trip is coded to a different account, the best way you can give to this trip is to write a check to ADVENTURES IN MISSIONS and send it to me. I will then bring the check into the office to place it into the correct account for me trip.
Thank you so much for your consideration in donating again to me. Let me know if you have any questions or want to donate in a different way (online).
Love you all and God bless!

This is exciting! Which country will you go to in September? And do you know which countries you will visit next year with us (if the countries/order doesn’t change at least)

Steph, that’s awesome! I’m super excited for you. You can count on my prayers for sure and I’ll take a look at my budget to see what I can do! So happy you made it, that the hurricanes blew over, and your Mom got home safely! Love and miss you! Maybe see you around the holidays! 😉
I will be in Spain and then Morocco. I am very excited as well. And I am not positive yet which countries I will come out to visit. That’s something we are figuring out real soon! Excited to meet you!
