Hello All!
Since last time I wrote you I have done two weeks in my new life in Georgia, two squad debriefs in Mijas, Spain, and a week traveling with a team in Morocco. To say life has been busy and exciting is an understatement! 😀
The debriefs in Spain were fantastic! I felt that God wanted me to go to learn all I could about Expedition and what God has been doing with those squads. (My squad I will be mentoring in January is an Expedition squad. The Expedition squads are focused in harder to reach areas usually referred to as the 10/40 window. There is more of a focus on evangelism and sharing our testimonies of Jesus in our lives.)
During debrief, I busied myself with many one-on-ones with the racers and soaked in all of their stories and experiences they shared with me. God has done some real incredible things with the current Expedition squads. The teams have seen people come to know Jesus, miraculous healings in villages, and their own personal healing from past wounds and brokenness. God was able to highlight some things that worked well on their experience and also some things that could be improved for my squad in January. The week in Spain was both very productive and also good for my soul as God was able to speak to me during worship and speaking sessions. 😀

I then traveled with one team to Casablanca, Morocco. The team is partnering with a Christian Moroccan couple teaching English to students. The hosts were so glad to have our team. They only know about 10 believers in all of Casablanca! They are excited to have the team for fellowship and also for the team to share their testimonies as they teach English. I enjoyed my time tremendously with this team! It felt so easy to jump in and feel a part of the team. I realized that I have been doing this (jumping into a new team) the last two years with Squad Leading. It was a good and familiar feeling.
While I was there I asked God. ‘what else am I here for?’ I knew I was there to learn and gather Expedition knowledge but I know my God multi-tasks. I wanted to be able to love on the team and impart whatever God has given me to give away. I was able to have many good talks with the teammates, hear their hearts, and encourage them to continue to seek God in all things. I love love love this part of my job. Personal connection with people, hearing about their lives, and encouraging and challenging where needed.
(The team in Morocco. We visited and prayed over this mosque for Jesus’ name to be known. 2nd largest mosque in the world.)
(To enter the mosque, the ladies put on head scarfs in respect. It was a very strange experience to wear one.)
(The team’s Moroccan apartment. We had many good times eating and talking in this beautiful living room.)
Thank you to everyone who helped support me to go on this extra trip! It was a last minute decision that had huge results! Since this trip isn’t normal for squad mentors to go on I have to fundraise extra for it. I am still in need of funding for this trip!
Since this trip is coded to a different account, the best way you can give to this trip is to write a check to ADVENTURES IN MISSIONS and send it to me. I will then bring the check into the office to place it into the correct account for me trip.
Thank you so much for your consideration in donating again to me. Let me know if you have any questions or want to donate in a different way (online through Paypal).
Love you all and God bless!
Steph
